Using English translations of historical fight manuals and modern safety practices, we will cover the basics of single combat with the longsword when both opponents are wearing full armor. The rules of engagement in this course will closely align with accepted practices in the HEMA, WMA, and SCA communities.
This course, when purchased is accessible for ONE YEAR. You should be able to finish it well before that time. There will be downloadable handouts you may keep. The reason it is limited in time is because it will be updated frequently.
Better in a Group
This course CAN be completed by yourself, in theory, but it is VASTLY better to have at least one training partner. While I’d prefer to have each person purchase this course so everyone’s progress can be tracked, I’m also aware that not everyone who wants to learn can afford their own registration.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Armor is NOT required for this course, but would be helpful later on in the course.
You won’t need any gear for the first two sections and we’ll keep the gear for the rest of the course to a minimum.
