M775 f3r-f4v “Abilment for the Just of the pees”

This is the first post in what I hope eventually, will be a complete series of translations for M775, “Ordinances of Chivalry”. I’ve had this sitting around for a while, marked as “needs proofreading” and I think it might be time to publish it.

M775, “Ordinances of Chivalry” is a codex manuscript, currently in the Morgan Library in NYC, containing several pieces of content, mostly related to Chivalry in some way. It is generally dated as being from the mid-15th century and the language is Middle English. I’m hoping to recruit more motivated volunteers to help in the process of transcribing and modernizing the content of this codex. You can read more about my project here.

I could really use feedback and suggestions for how to display these pages. I’m not 100% happy with the tabbed format, but it kind of works. Ideally, I’d prefer a side-by-side viewer option where you’d see three columns – and the lines would be aligned… but that is such a pain to make. Let me know what you think might work best and/or leave a comment about the content.
