Yesterday evening, I returned to Knights Hall for the usual training. We continued with the usual Tabata HIIT training followed by Pell work with wooden axe wasters. Working out wearing a surgical mask is brutal. The saliva and sweat make it feel like you are being water boarded at the moment you most need to get a lung full of air. It isn’t pleasant.
Thanks to the injury and pandemic, I have not had a full workout since last October. Since then I had gained 20 pounds and lost a lot of strength and most of my cardio. I pushed through as best as I could though. The only thing I had real trouble doing was duck walks. The bad knee is still relatively very weak.
The Pell work felt good. REALLY good.
Today I rest and recover. Tomorrow I’ll be back at it.
